Most people have someone in their life whom they consider a "best friend", but what is it that gives them such a prestigious title? I met my best friend when I was not quite three months old, and we've been speaking our own language ever since. His name is Jeremiah Stanley, and there is no one on earth who knows me better than him. Someone once asked Jeremiah "what's the deal" with our friendship, as it was obvious we had something most people did not. His answer was this: "well, it's like this, if we were driving down the road, and Ethan was driving, and I told him to pull over, he'd pull over right away, and then ask why." To know you can trust someone is a special thing, but to know that they really trust you, that can sometimes be the thing that keeps me going. When I feel useless, (the worst feeling) I can think of my best friend, and know that even if I am of no consequence to anyone else, that one guy needs me, and I would give my life for him in a moment. I think that's what it means to have a best friend.

Great analogy of what a friend really means to you. Someone if you asked them to do something they would not hestitate to comply, but then ask why afterwards.
